I would like to ask the experienced chemical engineers here for some information regarding the characteristics of some commonly used chemical equipment in petrochemical and refining systems. For example, I’m interested in knowing the characteristics of equipment such as autoclaves, stripping towers, and reactors during operation. I’m not very familiar with this field; specifically, I want to know which parts of these devices reach the highest temperatures during operation, where the reaction takes place, which parts are most susceptible to corrosion, and whether the output from the devices comes from the bottom or the top. Could you recommend any relevant books or sources where I can find this information? Thank you all
