How to evaluate intermediate chemical engineers

Materials generally required to apply for a professional title promotion: 1. Application form for evaluation of professional and technical qualifications; 2. Registration form for assessment of professional and technical personnel; 3. Academic qualification certificate; 4. Certificate of passing the competency test (required for those being promoted bypassing normal procedures or those in a different field); 5. Certificate of passing the foreign language exam (some areas have abolished this requirement this year); 6. Certificate of passing the computer skills test; 7. Notification of approval for the position and appointment letter; 8. Certificate of continuing education completion; 9. Summary table of comprehensive evaluations; 10. Academic papers and publications; 11. Work summary; 12. Certificates related to awards and achievements; 13. Recommendation form for those being promoted bypassing normal procedures; 14. Other documents (such as a copy of ID card); 15. Registered photo of the applicant. Subject to the regulations issued by the local Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

To register for the professional title defense, one also needs to apply online through the Beijing Personnel Examination Service website. After passing the preliminary online review, the application form must be printed and taken to the archives management department for stamping – using the official seal of the organization. Then, one must bring their graduation certificate, degree certificate, certificate in professional English, certificate in computer skills related to the profession, certificates of passing relevant professional exams, and ID card to undergo on-site verification. If the application form includes information about awards, patents, monographs, etc., those documents should also be brought along; they serve as additional points in favor of the applicant. As long as you don’t offend the examiners, having these additional items will ensure success in obtaining the professional title. 4. Additionally, the projects listed must be ones that you have worked on personally, and the title of the paper should also be chosen from among your own projects. Most of the questions asked by the reviewers will relate to the content of your paper; occasionally they may ask a question that is not related to the paper’s title, but it will still be connected to the project you listed.
