I noticed that several function blocks have an extmsg function, and there are also connections for this terminal in the schematic diagrams. Yet after looking at it carefully, I still don’t understand what use this freely selectable message serves. When I simulated it, it only caused letters to flash on the panel; there was no actual alarm indication. I’m not sure what this is all about
It seems that PCS7 is truly an obscure product – if you want to use Yokogawa’s technology, it’s not available; if you insist on using Siemens’ technology, then…
