The use of hydrogen involves combining it with oxygen to release energy, which is then converted into the form of energy that people wish to utilize. Hydrogen is neither a new energy source (in fact, it can even be considered one of the oldest energy sources), nor is it a truly clean energy source. This is because many methods used to obtain hydrogen involve sacrificing certain environmental resources, sometimes in significant amounts, and the efficiency of energy conversion in these processes is often relatively low. Large amounts of hydrogen are merely a relatively clean way of storing energy. To be precise, the hydrogen energy or hydrogen storage industry is a mixed bag with good and bad players – that’s my personal opinion
