Over the past half year or so since the forum launched its weekly topic initiative, participation in this activity has been significantly low. The reasons for this include the difficulty level of the topics as well as the participants’ tendencies. In short, for this district, the event was a failure. When in trouble, one must change; by changing, progress is achieved. So I’ll try to make some changes. These are my thoughts, and I hope everyone will actively share their opinions and discuss them. Revised format: Talk about the little things that happen at work each week; (each section should adjust its title accordingly based on its own name.) Participation method: Share real stories from our workweek related to technology, repairs, etc. (Of course, the content shared in each section should be targeted.) Promotion of activities: Of course, the work experiences shared by everyone may be quite trivial, so it is necessary for our moderators to select those topics that offer useful insights for further sharing or in-depth discussion. This activity is scheduled to be piloted on a full scale in September; therefore, please feel free to share your opinions during this period to help refine the details of our event. Please ask the super-editing assistant to drive forward this discussion process.
One question per week is thorough enough, but these days most people just read it without responding; there’s nothing we can do about it. Could it be changed to a format where mistakes are identified?
I completely agree with the super-user’s opinion. The weekly topics at the moment are essentially like topic posts, with only twenty or thirty replies per week – a truly meager number. Although the ratings for these weekly topics are higher than those for regular posts, the users don’t seem to appreciate it； I think the reason might be that the wealth system in HaiChuan has seen some inflation: everyone receives a red envelope per day, and then has to answer one or two daily questions, which ensures they make a profit. Most users in HaiChuan have this mindset – they don’t need more wealth; the amount they get from each post is sufficient (that’s basically the situation in our office as well)! The current moderator scoring system only manages to motivate a small number of people to actively reply to posts (it seems that only a few people in each forum section reply these days); most people post questions only when they have ones ； So I think we should find a better way to motivate Haiyou to post voluntarily, such as sharing what they saw and heard throughout the day; real-life examples might work well, as well as what they learned, felt, and realized that day! !
It’s like inflation in the forum right now. On the other hand, our existing in-depth resources have not yet been organized and archived. So it’s not attractive to everyone. Personal suggestion: Let’s assign one or two people to be responsible for collecting and organizing the good materials currently available on the forum. Then increase the download limit, strictly control those who post excessive content in an attempt to gain wealth, and then distribute resources. Or it’s resource exchange! Additionally, it is hoped that the higher-level management will contact the main management in order to stop the activity of earning rewards by signing in; instead, time should be added as compensation for signing in, without offering rewards as a form of compensation.
The most important posts for discussion should be original and interesting to everyone. As the moderator mentioned above, one can share things that have happened to them over the week or the challenges they’ve faced, so that everyone can discuss them together. It’s true that if people have enough resources to download such content, that would be fine. I know that few people post here; they just browse. Perhaps people are too cautious and don’t want to share good things. We need to find ways to enable everyone to benefit from these discussions and encourage them to participate actively

A quality post library should be created; remove those that are not good. Additionally, a dialog box should appear automatically after reading to indicate the score increase. Otherwise, many people would find it troublesome and wouldn’t want to earn extra points.

Technical maintenance issues that arise during the week are actually the focus of our current work. As Chao Ban said, the problems might be quite minor, which means that the moderators of each section need to take the time to analyze them carefully and select representative topics for discussion and sharing among everyone. There are also technical experts in these sections, and technical questions can be referred to them by the moderators for resolution (although these experts may not be online all the time). Each section has several moderators, who can categorize the posts in their respective sections. For example, our container section can be divided into the following categories: laws and regulations, container materials, design and manufacturing, use and maintenance, inspection, and others. For the issues in each section, the moderator can focus on managing them accordingly. The section leader can appropriately reward those who posed the questions and those who gave excellent answers, based on the quality of the posts. This not only increases everyone’s participation but also helps to improve the quality of the posts in a targeted manner. A suggestion – please have the moderators and supermoderators check it!
