Are there any specific standards for sanitary-grade pipeline valves? An industry I have been in contact with recently is biopharmaceuticals. The pipeline valve equipment to be used must meet sanitary standards. I would like to ask what exactly those sanitary standards for pipeline valves are. Is it required that the manufacturer have relevant qualifications or certifications?

For sanitary piping standards, ISO 2037 and SMS 3008 are commonly used in the dairy industry, while DIN 11850 or ASME BPE seems to be used in the pharmaceutical industry. Regarding standards for pumps and valves, I would recommend consulting well-known brand manufacturers such as SPX, GEA, GEMU, ALFA LAVLA, etc.; their selection manuals will indicate which standards are complied with, such as FDA, 3A, ehedg, etc. Audits are becoming increasingly strict these days, and it is common to require proof of compliance for related equipment.
