Now a blind flange is being installed on the branch pipe. I saw on the forum that valves are installed at both ends of the 8-shaped blind flange; so does installing such a blind flange still serve any purpose? I saw some people say they were worried about leaks inside the valves; so should we just use two valves, without blind plates? Beginners, please be patient and answer our questions! ! Thank you! !
Blind plates serve a purpose of isolation; valves cannot replace them, and no matter how many are installed, it still won’t work
Thank you! The boss wants to save money, so he wants to install a blind flange directly on the branch pipe without using valves. But I’ve seen many responses saying that valves must be installed at both ends; so it seems the boss’s idea of avoiding valves won’t work after all ‘:D’
