I would like to ask the experienced experts on this forum: Due to subsequent modifications, the safety valve and the drain pipe are positioned opposite each other in the methanol pipeline bypass. Is this in compliance with the regulatory requirements? Please give your advice
Standard reducer fittings are used; if welding is done with direct hole drilling, reinforcement calculations for the holes are required.
It’s really hard to say. Try modeling and calculating it using CAESAR2; the node distance between the two adjacent pipes can be set to 0.01 or 0.1 millimeters.
This is related to stress. If it’s normal pressure, it doesn’t matter; but in the case of high pressure, it’s necessary to use a reduced-diameter tee fitting. But it’s better to stagger the opening positions for reference.
