The solenoid valve should work on the same principle as a shut-off valve, right? Can a solenoid valve be used for adjustment purposes? So, does something like an electromagnetic control valve exist?????? Please help, experts

A solenoid valve uses the principle of an electromagnet to drive the valve stem, thereby causing the valve body to move. It comes in many forms and is capable of controlling multiple fluids to change their flow direction simultaneously. It is commonly used as a control system for valves in hydraulic systems. The remote control system for control valves, together with the valve’s actuator, also makes use of this solenoid valve. It is not commonly used for regulation. It mainly serves to change the direction of pneumatic valves in the actuator of the valve. Check the schematic diagram for reference.
Of course, there are control solenoids; electromagnetic and pneumatic are the valve actuation methods. Regulation and switching are forms of valve operation.

On the cylinder gate valve, it is the solenoid valve that controls the air supply to the cylinder; such a set is known as a cylinder valve, or self-protecting valve, emergency shut-off valve. A control valve generally refers to a diaphragm-driven globe valve that can regulate flow. I can’t express myself clearly. But I’m not sure whether the original poster didn’t express their question clearly, or if I’ve misunderstood it.
