Since the additional stress caused by small-sized branch pipes under certain conditions is not large, reinforcement calculations do not need to be made, and reinforcement measures do not need to be taken. For welded branch pipes, GB/T 20801 stipulates that reinforcement is not required when one of the following conditions is met:: ①. The nominal diameter of the branch pipe does not exceed DN50 ; ②.Db/Dh≤1/4 ; (Db is the outer diameter of the branch pipe, Dh is the outer diameter of the main pipe)
