Question: What is the safety factor when selecting actuators for pneumatic ball valves, and which standard provides guidelines on this matter?
Manufacturers generally add 10% for double-acting actuators and 15% for spring-return types; special requirements from customers can be met, and for our interlock valves, we often require a factor of 1.5 or even higher.
