Dear seniors, I am currently working on an acid washing line; the medium used is hydrochloric acid with a concentration of around 20%, the temperature is between 80-90 degrees, the pressure is 3-4 kilograms, and the acid contains metal impurities. To save costs, the valves on the acid pipeline are chosen to be as inexpensive as possible, while still ensuring quality. So, for valves of the same grade, are metal valves lined with PTFE cheaper? Are all-plastic valves cheaper? Due to the pressure and temperature conditions, what are the key things to keep in mind when selecting a product? Could you recommend some valve manufacturers that offer good value for money and excellent performance? Imported ones are out of the question – they’re too expensive.
We use PTFE-lined valves, but for higher hydrochloric acid concentrations.

The medium in question is corrosive, and its corrosive effect is quite strong; coupled with the wear caused by metal impurities, ordinary valves cannot withstand such conditions, and even valves lined with PTFE are not suitable for use in this situation. Ceramic valves are recommended as they are wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
Our uses are different from yours; your liquid contains metal impurities that can cause wear on tetrafluoride. Please choose carefully!
What material is your pipeline made of? It gets complicated when there are metal impurities; either use titanium alloy hard-sealed valves or valves with ceramic linings to solve the problem once and for all. Either use fluorinated or plastic valves, but they need to be replaced regularly.

To have both quality and low cost is what everyone wants. However, with hydrochloric acid containing metal impurities, choosing the wrong material can easily lead to problems. Besides, it’s important to choose something that is both expensive enough and suitable for use; cheap options require frequent replacement, so cost-effectiveness still matters.
