What type of fitting is under the straight pipe section?
The reading on the pressure gauge is around 1.0 MPa; it seems that such a reducing fitting isn’t necessary for this pressure level. It looks like a straight-type connector similar to those used in thermometers – could it be that the pressure measurement point has been changed to this location? It’s just a guess.
I feel like they just used a 1/2-inch short pipe; the proper way would be to use a reduced-diameter socket weld pipe clamp or threaded one
It seems that after the modification of the warm well, it became a connection for pressure gauges
