What kind of valve is this, and what medium is it used for – oil?
This bolt connection method is quite interesting
A bolted valve stem globe valve or plug valve, maybe?
The flange is square. It should be for use on ships. .
Learned*: The upper valve cover has only 2 bolts, similar to a large-sized packing gland.
If the valve controls the flow direction, it is very likely to be a globe valve
