In a G3/4 ball valve, what does G3/4 mean?
G3/4, 55-degree unthreaded sealed pipe thread (GB/T 7307-2001): 3/4 right-hand circular internal thread, left-hand thread marked as LH; the external thread is denoted as G 3/4 A (or B), where A and B indicate the tolerance class of the external thread.
That’s right; G is a thread standard for 55-degree tapered threads ； NPT threads are generally 60 degrees
What does 3/4 mean?
The nominal pipe diameter is 3/4 inch; it is what is commonly referred to as a “6‑fen” pipe, meaning that its thread size is 6 fen. G3/4” — 6-thread pipe thread with 14 threads per inch; the outer diameter d of the pipe thread should be 26.442 mm.
