According to Clause 10.3.5 of the SHT3005-2016 Specification for the Selection and Design of Automation Instruments in the Petrochemical Industry, when process safety requirements dictate that emergency shut-off valves must have fire protection features, a local operation switch for such valves should be installed at a distance of 15 m from them. The signal generated by this switch is sent directly to the solenoid valve of the pneumatic actuator, or to the ESD control terminals of electro-hydraulic or electric actuators, or to the corresponding SIS system, so as to enable manual shutdown of the emergency shut-off valve in emergency situations. So, are there many emergency valve-shutting and pump-stopping buttons on site, and do they also need to meet these requirements? Also, is this in conflict with clause 7.2.15 of GB50160-2018?
