What kind of valve is used for heat tracing?

May I ask everyone, what kind of valve is this and how is it controlled?
I’ve learned something new; it’s the first time I’ve seen this type of valve
This is Armstrong’s steam trap assembly, which includes two piston-type isolation valves, a test valve, and a drain valve with a filter. The two ones with handwheels above are isolation valves; the one below is a test valve and the other is a drain valve. See the figure below for details
A steam trap is usually installed on the heat tracing tube for drainage purposes only
