There is a pipeline in the project that carries material from the reactor to the centrifuge; it is 8 meters long in total. The design team specified the use of an 8-meter-long flexible metal hose for connecting these components. I think this is completely unnecessary, as the purpose of using hoses is to prevent leaks in the pipes caused by the vibrations of the centrifuge. Therefore, I propose installing rigid pipes near the centrifuge, with short-distance metal hoses used for connection. Guru, do you think it’s appropriate?
It should be like this; there’s no need for an 8-meter-long metal hose. One could consult the design institute to find out whether such a design is reasonable

With our centrifuges, we don’t encounter metal hoses of such length either – only a flexible connection at the point where it connects to the centrifuge. The design chosen by the design institute likely has its own reasons as well

I also tend to agree with the original poster. There is absolutely no need to use such a long hose.

Yes, generally, except for the hoses used to connect to tank trucks and those that are used temporarily and are longer, the rest are all 1.2 meters long
