Sections 9.1.5 and 9.1.6 of the \"Design Code for Liquefied Petroleum Gas Supply Projects\" (GB 51142-2014) provide different formulas for calculating the wall thickness of straight sections; two formulas are given in one standard – how should one choose? One of these two formulas corresponds to the wall thickness calculation formula specified in GB 50316 or GB 20801, while the other corresponds to the formula in GB 50028 or GB 50251. Could someone explain what the differences between these two formulas are, in what situations each one is applicable, and how to choose the appropriate one?
Refer to clause 9.1.1: pipelines within the station are considered industrial pipelines； 9.1.6 Estimation refers to pipelines outside the station, which are urban gas pipelines within public pipelines.
