When pipes and equipment are subjected to a hydrostatic test together, if the test pressure for the equipment is less than that of the pipes but greater than 77% of the pipe’s test pressure, then the equipment’s test pressure can be used. May I ask how 77% was obtained?
Where is this clause from? ? ? New standards? ? ?
There should be at least one implicit condition in this case: when the equipment and pipes cannot be separated and must be kept connected for pressure testing
Firstly, I couldn’t find out where 77% of the data comes from. Additionally, as mentioned on floor 5, hydraulic testing is carried out together only when it’s not possible to conduct hydraulic tests on the equipment and pipelines separately.
