In practical applications, conventional full-bore stop valves such as ball valves and gate valves cannot avoid friction between the valve core and the seat; this friction leads to scratches on the sealing surface during frequent operation, resulting in internal leakage of the valve. The ORBIT ball valve, which is capable of achieving forced sealing, can only provide forced sealing on one side and frictionless rotation due to its lift rod design; it is therefore unable to deliver both DBB and DIB functions through a single valve. Currently, a completely new domestically produced forced-sealing ball valve features a revolutionary design of the ball itself; it retains the advantages of ball valves such as full-bore flow and rapid on/off operation via angular motion, while simultaneously achieving two-way mechanical forced sealing independent of medium pressure and frictionless rotation of the ball. It provides a completely new solution for the safe severing of pipelines. This valve now holds a TS certification, allowing it to be used in petrochemical applications, and it can achieve a sealing level equivalent to that of a blind flange.
