How to solve the problem of too fast discharge?

Our reaction vessels are quite tall; after production is complete, hoses are quickly connected to the bottom for bucket collection. However, the moment the material discharge valve is opened, due to the high height of the reactor, the material sprays out directly, and sometimes it spills outside the tank. Does anyone have any good solutions? Are there adjustable discharge valves? Or install a canning valve behind the discharge valve?
A hose valve will do. Alternatively, the hose can be clamped with an iron plate before being made waterproof. Just slowly release the iron plate clamp.
I wonder what type of material feeding valve the original poster is using?
