The specification for a pipe on site is DN700X10mm, with material 20G; the operating temperature is 230 degrees, and the pressure is 0.7 MPa. During on-site inspection, it was found that one support was broken and deformed. Question: 1) What causes the fracture and deformation? 2) What potential risks can bracket damage pose to the pipeline itself or the connected equipment? 3) Is it necessary to perform a stress analysis on this section of pipeline? 4) Since the break in the support was only recently discovered, it might have occurred 1 year ago or even earlier (the pipeline has been in use for 11 years); how can potential damage to the pipeline itself or the connected equipment be detected and assessed? I don’t understand: 1. Is the bracket in the picture complete, with no missing parts? 2. Are the bracket and pipeline separate? 3. The bracket is deformed; why haven’t the flanges of the support I-beam deformed?
Maybe the angle of the photo wasn’t quite right, so I couldn’t understand it. It should be photographed from multiple angles.

The pipeline is insulated, so the support that actually comes into contact with the pipeline should be inside it.
Is there any mistake in the installation of the pipe supports? It seems to be some kind of axial restraint from the appearance, but the support appears to be welded to the pipe rack.
1. Is this bracket a fixed bracket, and is it welded in place? If it’s not a problem with the fixed bracket, it’s not a big issue ; If it is a fixed bracket, there is a problem. A stress analysis should be conducted. 2. Reason: It is likely due to the thermal expansion of the pipeline ; 3. For inspection: It is recommended to take X-ray images of the welds around the bracket as part of a comprehensive inspection, as well as conduct MT testing to check for any issues.
