On April 29, the Caizhong-Dajing-Jiangjunmiao natural gas pipeline project in the Jundong Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xinjiang (hereinafter referred to as the Jundong Development Zone) commenced construction. 　　This project is funded and constructed by Xinjiang Zhundong Natural Gas Co., Ltd. It is a vital livelihood and infrastructure project aimed at implementing the energy strategy and supporting local development. With a total investment of around 211 million yuan, it is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in August 2027. 　　The project pipeline is laid along the north side of Highway Z917, running through the Jiangjunmiao–Dajing–Caizhong area. It has a total length of 84 kilometers, a design pressure of 6.3 megapascals, and an annual gas transmission capacity of 250 million cubic meters. Two gate stations and three valve rooms are to be constructed as part of this project. 　　The gas source for this project comes from the coal-to-gas pipeline operated by **Pipeline Network Group Western Pipeline Co., Ltd. (the General Temple–Jiji Lake branch). It starts at the General Temple coal-to-gas reception station, passes through the Dajing Industrial Park, and ends at Well No. 5 of the Wuzhun transfer station owned by Xinjiang Hengli Energy Co., Ltd. (located in Caizhong). This project is crucial for establishing a dual gas supply system in the Zhundong Development Zone; it also serves as a model project for the local utilization of coal-to-gas technology in that area. 　　The project is equipped with digital management systems, analysis tools for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality, as well as a comprehensive safety and emergency response system. Once completed, it will enable intelligent scheduling, online monitoring, and rapid repair services, thereby significantly improving the level of pipeline operation management. Once operational, this project will connect the gas-using nodes upstream and downstream, effectively reducing the pressure on gas supply and decreasing reliance on single pipelines, thereby providing a solid energy foundation for the development of areas such as Wucaiwan, Jiji Lake, and Huoshao Mountain. 　　Upon completion, the project will further improve the layout of the natural gas pipeline network in the Zhundong Development Zone, effectively enhancing the stability and reliability of energy supply. It will provide a solid energy foundation for the industrial development and ecological environment protection in this zone, and is of great significance for helping to achieve the ‘dual carbon’ goals and promoting high-quality economic and social development in the region.
