Are there any industrial facilities in China for producing soda ash from mirabilite, or for manufacturing baking soda, caustic soda, and similar products?
We have equipment that uses bipolar membranes to produce acids and bases
There is likely no large-scale industrial production at present.

Mirabilite is sodium sulfate, while soda ash is sodium carbonate. Sodium sulfate has low solubility and is relatively stable; carbonization is definitely not an option. There has been no report of similar industrial-scale operations in the country.
This process was proposed quite early on, involving the reaction of limestone with sodium sulfate, but it was not put into industrial use due to poor economic viability.
