Electric furnaces are generally divided into two sections: one before the next stage of conversion takes place, and the other before the final conversion occurs after exiting the absorption tower and the subsequent heat exchangers. Generally, the power of the electric furnaces in the front section is higher than that in the rear section. For 200,000 tons, it is estimated that the electric furnace will require a capacity of at least 3,000 KW.
Choosing an appropriate power for the electric furnace based on the relevant design specifications results in a higher power level; for the production of sulfuric acid from 200,000 tons of sulfur, an input power of 1,000–1,200 kW is sufficient. The heating time is slightly longer, but the transformer capacity and basic electricity cost are reduced. Our sulfuric acid production plant using pyrite, with a capacity of 200,000 units: one stage with 960 kw, and four stages, each with 480 kw; it is operating normally. For your reference!
