I heard that when the compression ratio is not high, there is no need to install anti-surge control for centrifugal compressors. I don’t understand. Theoretically, it is possible, as long as the air supply volume remains above the anti-stall flow rate. Additionally, during start-up and shutdown, as well as when adjusting speed, a vent valve must be installed to maintain flow rate. In the event of failures in upstream or downstream processes, it should also open via interlocking to ensure the safety of the equipment.
