The gas used for heating is composed of 40% hydrogen, 10% each of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, less than 50 ppm of hydrogen sulfide, and less than 1% water content. What materials are used for the screws and the housing? Is a single-screw better or a twin-screw better? With oil or without oil? Is variable speed control available to achieve a flow rate of 50% to 110%?
The material is usually cast steel + forged steel; whether oil is used depends on whether the manufacturing process permits it. Oil can serve to cool, lubricate, and reduce noise. The pressure ratio for a single stage can be quite high, and nowadays water injection is also used.
