For NU220 bearings from the same manufacturer, why is there a difference in the outer diameter? In terms of installation, one can fit it in with the hand, while the other can be pushed in gently using a copper rod; actual measurements show less than a slight difference between the two.
Differences in outer diameter may be caused by tolerances and machining errors during the bearing manufacturing process; even bearings of the same model can have slight size variations. Bearings usually have tolerance grades, which determine their dimensional accuracy. Slight size differences usually do not affect usage. .

This post was last edited by qwl on 2024-3-23 09:35. The outer diameter tolerance of the bearing is K6: Φ180+0.004/-0.021; it uses a fit based on the K7 standard with Φ180+0.012/-0.028.
There are too many SKF products manufactured by CN under contract; they come from different manufacturers, so it’s normal – all of them are qualified products.
