Although there are many brands of air compressors, the precautions that need to be taken when operating them remain more or less the same across different brands. Next, I would like to briefly share with you the precautions for operating Bolete air compressors. What are the precautions for operating screw air compressors? 1. Before starting the machine, fill the oil reservoir of the screw compressor with the appropriate amount of special oil specified for it. 2. The air compressor should be placed in a location with good lighting and ventilation, as well as a clean environment. 3. If the compressor has not been used for a long time, add about one liter of special lubricant into the suction port of the compressor, and then turn the compressor by hand several times. 4. If it is not possible to see the oil level in the oil sight glass during inspection, shut down the machine immediately for ten minutes before checking the oil level again. If the oil level is too low, release the pressure from the compressor and then add more special oil until it reaches the proper level in the oil sight glass. 5. Connect the power cables and ground wire to terminals A, B, C, and N on the control box. Check whether the rotation direction of the compressor matches the direction indicated by the red arrow on the casing. If the direction is incorrect, swap any two of the three power connections. The rotation direction must be correct; otherwise, it can cause serious damage to the compressor. 6. After starting the machine, check and record the voltage, current, exhaust pressure, exhaust temperature, and oil level every two hours to use as a reference for future maintenance. By following these operating procedures correctly, the maintenance interval of the screw air compressor can be extended properly, preventing unnecessary damage to the compressor due to various issues before the scheduled maintenance time arrives. Therefore, proper operation helps to better protect the screw air compressor. Article sourced from: www.sz-blt.com
