Series double mechanical seal

I would like to ask: in a series-connected dual-seal system with a siphon tank, does the seal oil come into contact with the inner seal? I did some research on this, and it seems that it is the outer part of the outer seal that comes into contact with the seal oil, while the inner part of the inner seal is in contact with the seal oil. Am I correct?

That’s correct; the oil from the siphon tank enters the mechanical seal chamber, coming in from directly above and exiting on the left or right side, thus enabling circulation； It serves both a cooling function and a lubricating function ； The set located outside the seal chamber, on the side close to the impeller, comes into direct contact with the medium. Since the pressure of the medium is higher than that inside the seal chamber, the rotating and stationary rings as well as the O-rings in this external set are slightly larger than those inside the seal chamber, which makes them easier to distinguish.
