Hello everyone, I have a vertical calcination furnace. The calcination zone has two rows of 6 natural gas nozzles each, on the top and bottom. The thickness of my insulation layer is 0.9 meters. Now here’s the problem: during maintenance a few days ago, I found that the length of those natural gas nozzles was only 0.4 meters; in other words, there is still a gap of 0.5 meters before the nozzles can reach the inner wall of the furnace. How can I calculate an appropriate distance?

The specific method is for the design institute to use simulation software, based on the furnace type as well as the number and position of the nozzles, to simulate and determine the insertion distance of the burner nozzles at the optimal combustion condition.
