How can insulation be improved for steel tanks with FRP internal anti-corrosion coating?

A vertical steel tank that already exists needs to have 50 mm of rock wool insulation added to it. The tank is about 5 meters high and 3 meters in diameter, and it has an FRP lining inside; what are the possible ways to add this insulation?
FRP is used as a lining to prevent corrosion; isn’t it sufficient to apply an insulating layer around the tank?
If external rock wool insulation is used, the insulation nails should be welded in place on the tank before the internal lining is installed. If these preparations are not done in advance, it will be difficult to increase the thickness of the rock wool insulation; in such cases, it is safer to consider using polyurethane instead.
