May I ask: According to Note 2 in Table 1 of Clause 5.4 of NB/T47016-2011, when 10mm＜T＜20, 2 transverse bending specimens can be used as a substitute for 1 face bending specimen and 1 back bending specimen. For composite metal specimens and those fabricated using combined welding methods (or welding processes), 2 side-bending tests are conducted. ”In this context, do the test pieces produced using the combined welding method (or welding process) refer to those with a thickness in the range of 10mm＜T＜20, or all thicknesses?
It should be all thicknesses. The combined method uses lateral bending because all methods can be on the tensioned surface at the same time, whereas for facial bending and dorsal bending only one method is on the tensioned surface
