Working principle of biomass boilers: A biomass boiler is a thermal device that utilizes the heat released upon the combustion of biomass briquettes, or waste heat from industrial processes, to heat the water inside a container, raising its temperature to the desired level (to produce hot water) or generating steam at a certain pressure. It is a complete unit composed of a boiler (i.e., the hydraulic part of the biomass boiler body), a furnace (i.e., the combustion equipment – the biomass burner), auxiliary instruments, and related equipment. In a boiler, the process takes place in both the boiler vessel and the furnace. Once water enters the biomass boiler, the heat-absorbing surfaces in the steam-water system transfer that heat to the water, heating it to a certain temperature and pressure to produce hot water or steam, which is then used for various purposes. In the combustion equipment section, the fuel burns continuously, releasing heat. The high-temperature flue gases generated by combustion transfer this heat to the heating surfaces of the boiler through heat conduction, while their own temperature gradually decreases, before being expelled through the chimney. The pot and the stove – one absorbs heat while the other releases it – are closely related as part of a single set of equipment. During operation, due to the circulation of water, biomass boilers continuously carry away all the heat absorbed by the heating surfaces. This not only raises the temperature of the water or converts it into steam, but also ensures good cooling of the heating surfaces, thereby guaranteeing their safe operation under high-temperature conditions.
