When the equipment foundation is below the elevation specified in the design requirements, is the grouting method also used for installation? —— A grouting pit should be carved out on the surface of the concrete foundation where the shims are placed； The length and width of the grouting pit should be 60–80 mm larger than those of the shims; the depth to which the grouting pit is dug into the foundation surface should not be less than 30 mm, and the thickness of the concrete in the grouting layer should not be less than 50 mm.
There are regulations regarding the acceptance of equipment foundations; parameters such as elevation, planarity, and levelness must meet specified standards. If these requirements are not fulfilled, the foundation issues cannot be compensated for using equipment shims
