This is calculated by the designers themselves, and I don’t know if the designers have to ask the budget staff. According to my understanding, the total mass of all metals is converted into area, and then the amount of paint required is calculated from the area. As we know from the picture above: The total mass is: 246KG, which is converted into an area of 7.83 square meters. This is the area for one coat. Two coats are 15 square meters. The paint required for 1 square meter is 0.3~0.6KG. The final paint weight is: 3KG~9KG.
The amount of primer and topcoat is determined by the surface area of the equipment and the thickness of the paint film, and has nothing to do with the weight of the equipment. Determine the paint film thickness according to the anti-corrosion grade requirements and the environment where the equipment is located
