What are the common dimensions for tie rods when custom-made, and can tie rods be welded together?
It cannot be welded. It is generally customized based on size requirements
The tie rods are made of low-quality steel; they are available in lengths of 6 meters. If a larger quantity is needed, custom lengths can be ordered. Tie rods are not expensive at all. Even with our unit’s poor profitability, we have never bothered to source them before. Those of shorter length are often used in heat exchangers and can still be utilized in the future
It is not allowed to weld or splice the pulled rods; there are regulations regarding this
