According to the design of the LPG horizontal tank, according to the specifications (as shown in the figure), the liquid inlet needs to be equipped with an introduction pipe. So, what is the function of this introduction pipe? In addition, does the liquid inlet of the liquefied hydrocarbon horizontal tank also need to be equipped with such an introduction pipe?
I have never made this type of tank, but I think this design rule is just for safety. If there is no introduction pipe, the liquid will spray upward when it enters. This will cause the following problems: 1. Liquefied petroleum gas liquefies petroleum gas through high pressure, and the temperature inside the tank is unknown and may be higher than liquefied petroleum gas. Therefore, if it is sprayed out, a large amount of liquefied petroleum gas will vaporize in a short time, causing a sudden increase in pressure, while horizontal spraying should be gentler. 2. The sprayed liquefied petroleum gas will splash around and easily enter some places where the liquid phase is not suitable, such as safety relief devices. 3. Liquefied petroleum gas is a mixture, and the denser one will be deposited at the bottom, which will easily block the liquid inlet and require a greater pressure for the initial liquid inlet.
