For pressure vessels containing liquefied gases (Group 1), the following mandatory requirements apply: 01 The capacity factor must be indicated on the overall design diagram of the storage tank. 02 For containers storing liquefied gases at normal temperatures, the design pressure shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of 3.1.9.3. 03 The container should have a specified designed storage capacity; the filling factor must not exceed 0.95. 04 For containers designed to hold liquefied petroleum gas, their pipe flanges shall comply with the requirements of the HG/T 20592–HG/T 20635 series of standards; necked butt-weld flanges, metal wound gaskets with reinforcing rings, and high-strength studs of special grade should be used in such assemblies. 05 Fiber-reinforced plastic containers must not be used. 06 The level gauge is equipped with a protection device to prevent leaks. 07 Storage containers at normal temperature: When, under normal operating conditions, the ambient temperature has an impact on the metal temperature of the pressure vessel shell, the minimum designed metal temperature shall not be higher than the lowest value of the monthly average minimum temperatures over the years (calculated by adding up the minimum temperatures for each day of the month and dividing by the number of days in that month). 08 Pressure relief discs must not be used alone, but can be used in series with safety valves.
