Where is the appropriate place for the safety valve on the liquid ammonia tank (15 cubic meters) to discharge its contents? 1. It can be sent together with low-pressure gas to the gas holder, where it can be compressed and used as fuel for heating furnaces. 2. It can be sent along with sulfuric acid gases to be burned in a flare. 3. Is there a better way for discharging these substances? Looking forward to the answer
It is generally better to route liquid ammonia venting through a separate flare line, in order to prevent it from mixing with other gases and reacting with them; otherwise, blockages in the pipes may occur. This is for reference only
For safety reasons, it should be vented separately to the flare stack; after all, the venting through the safety valve of the liquid ammonia tank is intended for emergency use only.
