Guizhou’s first 120,000-ton/year DMF project completed successful commissioning

Recently, the 120,000-ton-per-year DMF production project of Guizhou Tianfu Chemical Co., Ltd. successfully produced DMF of qualified quality, with a purity of 99.75%, marking the successful completion of the project’s initial trial operation. In December 2022, Guizhou Tianfu Chemical Co., Ltd. commenced construction of a project with an investment of 460 million yuan to produce 120,000 tons of DMF per year. The project covers an area of approximately 100 mu, and it includes a production line for 120,000 tons of dimethylformamide (DMF) per year along with related facilities, as well as a production line for 20,000 tons of methylformamide (NMF) per year along with related facilities. The project primarily uses the existing products of Tianfu Company, such as carbon monoxide, liquid ammonia, and methanol, as raw materials to produce four types of products: DMF, monomethylamine, dimethylamine, and trimethylamine. It is reported that the target market for these products is the South and East China regions, where an output of 100,000 tons is expected to be consumed. The project with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of DMF is not only a key construction project in Guizhou Province, but it is also the first DMF production facility in the Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan region. It has been included in Guizhou Province’s \"Industrial Doubling Action Plan\".
