Jinmei Tianyuan/Jinxiang/Jinfeng/Lanhua have carried out fixed-bed inter-cooling upgrades using technology provided by Hefei Institute of Science and Technology. The upgrade projects for the fixed-bed gasification inter-cooling at Jinmei Tianyuan, Jinmei Jinxiang, Jinmei Jinfeng, and Lanhua Kechuang are part of the industrial furnace improvement initiatives launched by Sinohydro Gasification in 2020. Drawing on years of experience in the development, design, and operation of dry cooling and purification systems, Zhonghe Gasification has developed an indirect cooling technology suitable for the retrofitting of batch fixed-bed systems. By integrating cyclone pre-dust removal, dry dust removal, and indirect cooling technologies, it creates an integrated process for coal gas dust removal and indirect cooling, which enables the recovery of coal gas dust while addressing the problem of high pollution associated with direct cooling using circulating water. The dust content in the purified gas after treatment will be less than 10 mg/m3. The separated dust is transported to the plant’s ash silo using pneumatic conveying, while the ammonia nitrogen in the condensate is recycled as ammonia water through an ammonia evaporation system. The aforementioned projects for upgrading indirect cooling in fixed-bed gasification are important tasks undertaken by manufacturing enterprises to implement the environmental protection policies set by ** and local authorities, with the aim of upgrading their gas generation circulating water systems. The project has a tight construction timeline and heavy workload. According to a report from Zhonghe Gasification in October 2020, the civil engineering work is now in full swing, and the construction of the steel structures is also progressing smoothly. The on-site designers are adjusting and refining the design plans based on the existing as-built drawings of the facility as well as the actual conditions on site, striving to complete the main construction tasks before the major overhaul so as to ensure timely connection with the subsequent construction phases. As early as March 2020, Jinmei Group held a video demonstration meeting for the fixed-bed gasification indirect cooling renovation project at Jinfeng Company, in order to advance the implementation of this project.
