The reporter learned that the granulation tower for this urea-based compound fertilizer is 120 meters tall and 20 meters in diameter, making it the tallest of its kind in Yunnan Province. Its designed production capacity is 500,000 tons per year, and its main products include high-quality green urea-based compound fertilizers, specialized green ecological compound fertilizers, as well as high-quality urea. A congratulatory message from the Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry Association stated that the commissioning of this project marks Yunnan Xiangfeng Petrochemical Co., Ltd.’s achievement of self-sufficiency in the supply of nitrogen fertilizer raw materials, and it also enhances the supply of nitrogen fertilizers in the southwestern region. It is worth mentioning that this project boasts significant advantages in terms of technical processes. First, dust and ammonia emissions are better than **the standards ; Second, it offers higher security. This granulation tower utilizes the melt granulation method, allowing for the direct production of compound fertilizers from **concentrated solutions. It eliminates the need for spray granulation using such concentrated solutions, as well as the crushing process required when converting solid **materials into compound fertilizers. This simplifies the production process and ensures production safety. Third is energy savings. The granulation process makes full use of the thermal energy of **concentrated solutions; the moisture content of the material is very low, so no drying step is required. Experts note that this project utilizes a number of advanced domestic technologies, featuring a short production process, low energy consumption, good environmental benefits, and high product quality. Backed by advanced processing technologies, the high-concentration compound fertilizers produced will feature smooth and rounded particle surfaces, a high quality rate, resistance to caking, and easy solubility. The project utilizes the “high-efficiency synthesis, low-energy consumption urea technology” independently developed by China Five Rings Company”
