Gentlemen, could you share your insights? When selecting valves for the inlet and outlet (two sets) of the adiabatic furnace in a conversion system, should gate valves or butterfly valves be used? Is it possible to shut down one unit without any internal leakage? DN700
When selecting the inlet and outlet valves for the adiabatic furnace of the conversion system, given the need for a large diameter of DN700, gate valves are generally recommended. Because gate valves offer good sealing performance and low resistance for large-diameter pipes. Although butterfly valves are easy to operate and take up little space, their sealing performance may not be as good as that of gate valves in large-diameter applications. Using high-quality gate valves ensures no internal leakage when closed, thereby isolating individual devices. .
