(hereinafter referred to as Xinjiang Yihua) is located in the **-level Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is the first chemical enterprise supported by Hubei Province for development in Xinjiang to be built and put into operation there, enabling local conversion of resources. Founded in 2010, the company’s main business areas include self-owned power plants, coal chemical industry, and chlor-alkali industry. Its key products are 80,000 tons of melamine, 600,000 tons of urea, 250,000 tons of caustic soda, and 300,000 tons of PVC. It is accompanied by an open-pit coal mine with 2.2 billion tons of reserves; its annual mining capacity is 20 million tons, and the cost is less than 100 yuan per ton, giving it a significant cost advantage. Xinjiang Yihua adheres to a sustainable development strategy based on the circular economy, and has now established a green, low-carbon circular economy industrial park featuring \"coal-electricity-chemical integration\". In 2014, Xinjiang Yihua adopted the technology from the Italian company OTEC to build the world’s first fourth-generation high-pressure melamine production facility. This product is a derivative of urea and constitutes an excellent carbon-sequestering material; it enables the efficient storage and utilization of CO2 – 1.05 tons of CO2 can be sequestered per ton of melamine produced.
