Ningxia Petrochemical Presents a \"New Answer\" for Improving the Efficiency of Its Fertilizer Production Facility Author/Source: Date: 2022-11-11 Clicks: 8 As of November 9, the fertilizer production facility of China National Petroleum Corporation’s Ningxia Petrochemical Company had been in operation for 227 days in a row. With long-term stable operation, the overall energy consumption of the facility, product output, quality metrics, and production efficiency have all reached their best levels ever. On the new journey toward high-quality development, Ningxia Petrochemical Company has accelerated its progress, delivering a \"new result\" in terms of improved quality and efficiency for its fertilizer production facilities. Since the beginning of this year, Ningxia Petrochemical Company has established a leading group for addressing issues related to the long-term operation of production facilities, with Wei Yong, the general manager and deputy secretary of the Party committee, as its leader. This group includes sub-teams focused on production operations and on equipment, electrical systems, and instrumentation. By identifying and addressing the potential risks and bottlenecks that affect the long-term operation of these facilities, the company aims to eliminate such risks and ensure the successful implementation of targeted solutions. To date, the company’s fertilizer production facilities have achieved 25 accomplishments in seven areas: improving resource quality, enhancing operational efficiency, driving innovation for better results, reducing costs while increasing efficiency, addressing pollution issues to improve efficiency, optimizing management, and strengthening risk control. At the same time, focusing on the critical challenges associated with high-load, long-duration operations, the company launched 16 specialized technical projects through a system of inviting experts to take on these tasks. As a result, a series of operational issues related to equipment energy consumption, water usage, large-scale units, and steam pipelines were successfully resolved. Through organizing competitions aimed at improving quality and efficiency among work teams, each team strived to meet its targets and achieved tangible results. Thanks to continuous optimization and adjustments, the overall operating performance of the facility has seen a leapfrog improvement. Thanks to its long-term operation, various economic and technical indicators of the company’s facilities this year, including the natural gas consumption per unit of output, boiler steam consumption, the proportion of high-quality urea produced, and environmental emission standards related to flue gases, have reached record levels.
