Huajiang Chemical’s No. 3 urea plant’s technology upgrade project came online

On February 2, Huahua Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. officially announced that the technical upgrade project for its No. 3 urea production facility, which involved an investment of around 260 million yuan, has been successfully put into operation. It is reported that the construction of this project began in April 2025, and after more than 9 months of hard work by various construction teams, the entire process was completed on January 12 of this year; the plant was started up successfully with a single batch of feedstock, producing qualified urea products. After 72 hours of performance testing, the plant achieved an average daily urea production of over 1,450 tons. The steam consumption per ton of urea decreased from 1,080 kilograms to 680 kilograms, while the electricity consumption per ton of urea dropped from 165 kilowatt-hours to 120 kilowatt-hours. Approximately 5 tons of steam at 0.4 megapascals were produced per hour, and the total cost per ton of urea was reduced by about 100 yuan compared to before the upgrades. After 22 days of continuous stable operation, all indicators have fully met and exceeded the design requirements.
