Recently, Topsoe reached an agreement with World Energy GH2 to jointly provide Topsoe’s dynamic green ammonia synthesis technology for Nujio’qonik, ***’ largest green hydrogen project. This green hydrogen project is located in the St. George’s Bay area of *** Newfoundland and Labrador Province. In the spring of 2022, World Energy GH2 announced plans to invest $12 billion in this project to produce green hydrogen, thereby helping to decarbonize sectors around the world where emissions reduction is difficult. Once completed, the project will utilize on-site wind energy for production. It is expected to start producing green hydrogen in 2025, with an annual supply of 250,000 tons of green hydrogen to the global market. Topsoe stated that the project will use Topsoe’s dynamic ammonia synthesis technology to produce ammonia on-site. Green hydrogen and green ammonia fall under the Power-to-X technologies and are key factors in driving energy transition.
