Production Performance of Yan’an Energy Chemical in 2025 and Goals for 2026

According to Yan’an Energy Chemicals, as of December 31, 2025, the company’s annual production of polyolefins reached 771,600 tons, which is 110.21% of the annual target of 700,100 tons. The production of n-butanol amounted to 208,200 tons, representing 109.81% of the annual target of 189,600 tons. The production of 2-propylheptanol (including valeraldehyde) was 78,700 tons, corresponding to 116.25% of the annual target of 67,700 tons. Finally, the production of EPDM rubber was 22,200 tons, which is 105.71% of the annual target of 21,000 tons. By 2025, Yan’an Energy Chemical will have put 17 technical renovation projects into operation, thereby reducing costs and consumption. It will have successfully completed a number of pilot tests and trials related to the use of domestic technologies, and will have won various patents and quality awards, all of which will contribute to improving the efficiency of production through technological innovation. In terms of cost reduction and efficiency improvement, 27 targeted measures such as the resource utilization of coal slag and the blending of high-sulfur coal have been implemented, effectively reducing the unit consumption of products and increasing the yield of raw materials, thereby achieving significant cost savings. By 2026, Yan’an Energy Chemical’s goal is to produce 621,300 tons of polyolefins, with an aim to reach 672,900 tons ； 177,300 tons of n-butanol, with a target of 186,000 tons ； 2-propylheptanol (containing valeraldehyde): 67,000 tons, with a target of 70,700 tons ； 18,700 tons of EPDM, with a target of 20,100 tons. In 2024, Yanneng Chemical produced 1.249 million tons of various chemical products. Among these, the natural gas conversion and synthesis center has produced a total of 2.1262 million tons of methanol (on an equivalent pure basis), 742,900 tons of polyolefin products, 227,700 tons of n-butanol, 81,700 tons of 2-PH (including valeraldehyde), and 18,800 tons of EPDM. The Comprehensive Utilization Project of Coal, Oil, and Gas Resources in Yan’an, Yanchang, Shaanxi uses coal, oil, and gas as raw materials to produce 1.8 million tons of methanol, 600,000 tons of products derived from methanol through further processing, 400,000 tons of refinery light oil, 450,000 tons of polyethylene, 250,000 tons of polypropylene, 200,000 tons of butyl octanol, and 60,000 tons of EPDM rubber. In September 2018, the process was established for the device.
